From His house Prophet (PBUH) was taken by Hazrat Jibraeel (AS) to Jerusalem from where He rode a Burraq that took Prophet (PBUH) to the skies and heaven where He met many Prophets of religion Islam.
From there onwards, He reached to the highest point where He experienced the Divine presence, Prophet (PBUH) received many commands and in this night obligatory Namaz was decreased to 5 times everyday. All of these happened in one night; therefore, all this happening of Mairaj is not believed by the non-Muslims, where as the Muslims believed in it with their full heart and regarded it as a miracle. The night of Mairaj (27 rajab) is among the blessed nights of the years for Muslims in which Muslims offer special Namaz in this night to commemorate the Mairaj.
* Splitting of Moon:
One of the greatest miracles of Prophet (PBUH) is the splitting of moon. This is the most renowned miracles of Prophet (PBUH) which testifies to the truth of Prophethood of Prophet (PBUH). The non-Muslim thought that He was magician, therefore, they asked Prophet (PBUH) to prove His Prophethood by showing some kind of miracle in the skies, as according to Non-Believers the magic didn’t work in the sky.
Thus, in order to prove them wrong and show them that He was not a magician but a true Prophet of ALLAH Almighty, He split the moon into two halves just by pointing towards it with finger. The non-Muslim did not believe Him and continue regarded Him as a great magician.
